Pass it on

Our manifesto
We’ve been passing it on for generations. Our love for Belgian fashion. Our belief in a cleaner, happier world. Positive energy. Joy of life. Clothing that makes us feel truly good.
We pass on what we know, what we live for.
Our commitment to sustainability.
A clear perspective.
On fabrics, our people, fashion.
From the heart.
For everyone who comes after us.
Will you pass it on?
To your children, your parents, your partner.
Friends. Colleagues.
Everyone around you. To yourself.
Pass on your good vibes. Your infectious smile.
Your passion, positivity, and self-confidence.
What you stand for. What you believe in. What you know. What you want to keep striving for.
#PassItOn together with CRG
Ann & Bart Claes
As a Belgian family business, we at CRG have been investing in our brands and people for generations. We share not only knowledge, but also values, beliefs, smart ideas, and good habits. From person to person and from generation to generation. From CKS to JBC to Mayerline. Together, we strengthen our promise. That shared commitment comes to life in the sustainability strategy #PassItOn, also known as #GeefHetDoor or #Transmettons.
This clear strategy encompasses the entire value chain. We know that we’ve already made significant progress on some issues, while on others we still have a lot of work to do to improve our impact across the chain. Our sustainability strategy includes twelve themes, embedded in the three pillars of our sustainability framework and underpinned by two foundations.

Our foundations
CRG’s sustainability strategy rests on two solid pillars. The first is transparency: an open and honest dialogue, both bottom-up and top-down, with all stakeholders across our entire value chain. This is essential to our day-to-day operations and crucial to the realization of our sustainability strategy.
The second pillar is governance. This is the foundation of everything we do. Our Board of Directors and Executive Committee jointly determine the ambition and resources needed to make CRG and our brands more sustainable - now and in the future.

Our fashion
This first central pillar of our sustainability framework encompasses our goals for materials, circular initiatives, and packaging. Our fashion is what it’s all about for us every day. At the heart of our activities is the clothing we produce for our current customers and all future generations. Every garment starts with a base material such as cotton, polyester, viscose, or their less environmentally harmful alternatives. Ideally, this garment is designed and processed according to the principles of the circular economy, using as little plastic and other packaging as possible.

Our footprint
Pillar 2 of our sustainability framework, “Our footprint,” focuses on the impact of the production and use of our clothing. Because every garment we produce has an impact on people and the environment. For example, through the materials used, the dyeing of fabrics, transportation, and even when consumers wash the clothing. CRG aims to quantify the full impact within the lifecycle of our clothing as accurately as possible - and then reduce it. Because to measure is to know.

Our family
Producing and selling clothing is CRG’s business. This is only possible thanks to the dedication of people who give their best every day with joy and passion. Locally, these are our own employees, and globally, the employees of our suppliers. We reinvest the proceeds of their hard work into our company to become more sustainable and grow. We also allocate a portion of those proceeds to initiatives that benefit our society and the planet. We do this by focusing on connection, both with our Belgian communities and in two of the countries where CRG has its clothing manufactured.
