Handan - Customer Care
After a successful internship, Handan joined the JBCfamily in 2021. Every day she helps our customers in Dutch, French and English, always with a smile! She is a member of the Customer Care team where everyone is ready to support each other and where appointments are often made outside working hours.
What is the biggest challenge in your job?
For me, the biggest challenge is to be able to make as many customers as possible happy in a correct and honest way. It is also important to remain calm and friendly at all times :-)
How does your department contribute to the functioning of JBC?
We solve all our customers' problems and do so every day with a lot of enthusiasm and pleasure. A package that hasn't been received, a payment that didn't work, an article that was delivered wrongly,... It is all solved by phone, chat, Messenger, WhatsApp, mail, in Dutch, French, English and German. To give you an idea .... this year alone, we have had contact with 16,827 customers through all these channels!
What does a typical workday look like for you?
First of all, I start the day with coffee :-) Then I log into the phone and take a quick look at the division of tasks, which is different every week. In general, I answer the incoming calls and we make sure together that the emails are answered quickly. Not a single day is boring, our customers provide the necessary animation (in the broadest sense of the word) and moreover, there is always someone who has something funny or playful to say, ... or brings something tasty. ;-)
What is the achievement where you are most proud of?
I started in customer service as an intern and I am very happy that I have been employed permanently at JBC for almost a year. In addition to my daily tasks at JBC, I also occasionally help out at the CKS customer service department, which I am certainly very proud of :-) I have also overcome my fear of speaking French thanks to this position :-)
What is your favorite event at JBC?
I have a 3 year old daughter and the visit of Sinterklaas at JBC was really great for her! That was a nice family moment that we all enjoyed, that is definitely worth repeating! :-)
What is the best recurring action at JBC?
The sticker action is my favorite, you can score really nice items for a small price.
How important is fashion in your life?
It has always been my dream to work in this sector! As the daughter of a seamstress, I have been interested in making and wearing beautiful clothes since childhood. :-)
How has your job evolved over the years?
I have only been working here for a year, but I am confident that a colorful career awaits me at JBC! ;-)
How would you describe the atmosphere at JBC?
The atmosphere is very family oriented and warm :-)
