Do you have a question about JBC as an employer in the head office or warehouse? Below you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions.JBC's stores are operated by independent partners. Do you have a question about working in the store? Then it is best to contact the partner.
How does the first job interview go?
The first interview is an introduction where you tell us why you are excited about the job. During this interview, we go through your CV and together we look for what gives you energy and motivates you. We also talk about you as a person. We attach great importance to the cultural fit with the organization. Finally, there will also be time to answer your questions and explain more about the job and the organization.
What does the application procedure look like?
First, you submit your CV and cover letter through the application form on our jobsite. If your CV matches the requested job content, we will contact you by telephone for a first interview. After the telephone interview, the first next interview takes place at the JBC head office or through a digital video call. Depending on the vacancy, a second further interview may take place and/or you will receive an assignment related to the vacancy. If there is no match with the vacancy, we will inform you as soon as possible.
How do I know if my application has been received?
After completing and submitting your application form on this jobsite, you will see a confirmation on the screen.
I have not received a confirmation of my application. What do I do now?
You can send an e-mail to jobs@jbc.be to check whether everything has gone well.
Until when can I apply for a job?
You can apply as long as the vacancy is online.
Can I apply to a vacancy if I do not meet the criteria?
We recruit on the basis of competencies, talents and cultural fit, regardless of age, gender, origin, etc. If you do not yet have certain skills, but do fit in with our culture and organization, we can explore your growth opportunities together.
Can I also apply spontaneously?
Yes, there is a section on our jobsite dedicated to spontaneous applications. Leave your details together with your CV and motivation letter, and we will contact you if we have an interesting vacancy.
What happens to my data after I have applied?
We follow the rules of the Privacy Law.
Your details will be kept in a database for one year after you have applied. If vacancies open that you are qualified for, we will contact you, but also keep an eye on our jobsite or LinkedIn.
Can I apply to several vacancies?
Yes, just fill in the application form for the vacancies you are interested in.

I have just received an invitation for a job interview. Any tips?
You can already prepare yourself for the interview. Think about your motivation, qualities and growth potential. You can get to know JBC through this site, our webshop or in the shops. Finally, it is important that you remain yourself during the interview.
What are the extra-legal benefits at JBC?
You will find them at the bottom of each vacancy.
Will I get a permanent position right away?
This depends on the vacancy. If it is a temporary position or an interim period, this is always stated in the vacancy text.
Are there growth and training opportunities at JBC?
Yes, there are! When it comes to training, we start with you as a person. We look at where you can still improve and what the best approach is. This can be done through a training course, webinar, personal coach, etc. We consider the training opportunities after your evaluation but also on your initiative throughout the year.
We encourage internal growth and are keen to invest in talent. If you are interested in another position, we look at the possibilities together with your manager and HR.

Can I do a student job at JBC?
Yes, we offer great student jobs in the warehouse and in the shops. If you want to work in a shop, it is best to contact the shop itself. You will find the details of the shop on www.jbc.be.
Can I do an internship at JBC?
Yes, our jobsite has a space dedicated to interns. Leave your details together with your CV and motivation letter, and we will contact you. Be sure to mention the period of your internship and the department in which you would like to work.
I am looking for an internship. When is the best time to apply?
It is best to apply immediately after you have received your training period from school. We receive many internship applications. So the sooner you apply, the better chance you have.
What kind of atmosphere can I expect at JBC?
You can expect a nice? friendly?, informal atmosphere at JBC, where everyone is very enthusiastic and respectful of each other. We are always there for each other as one strong #JBCfamily.
